Book 1 – Letter 1 Received December 15, 1941 from “Jay”
Jay writes from Honolulu Hawaii and the letter is postmarked December 4th, 1941. Just 3 days later on the morning of December 7 the Japanese attacks Pearl Harbor. The attack led to the United States’ entry into World War II. The next letter from Hawaii does not arrive until February 9th, 1942.
